Happy Friday!

Hola!

It's Friday! I have to work all weekend! Joy!

So lately I have been lacking motivation to get my life in order... and by that I mean many aspects. Maybe it's because I self diagnosed myself with SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) lol. I'm not sure what it is. But I found this website Bikini Body Mommy. And although I'm not a mother I like her tips and her how to's!

I belong to the gym and don't go. I have a trainer and didn't go. I actually had to cancel him this week. I felt like I was totally wasting my money. I went so irregularly that I wasn't seeing results and paying wayyy too much. So let's see if maybe this will give me some inspiration! Maybe for you too!

You can also check out her facebook page. If a mother of 3 can lose weight so can I! I like to pretend I'm soo busy but really it's just in my head and I like to sleep a lot. SHAME ON ME!

Have a wonderful Weekend!

Give Thanks!

Afternoon!
The most wonderful time of the year is here. It is also the busiest time of the year, not only for work but also just shopping for Christmas, making time for family and friends can all get overwhelming but I will chive on. On Thanksgiving Day of course we all realize all that we have to be grateful for but what about the rest of the year? There is so much we are blessed with that we do not take time to give thanks. It is def. an easy thing to forget.

What are some thing you are thankful for?

I am thankful for so much. My 25 years of existence has been exceptionally grand!

On a larger scale I am thankful for...

- Being blessed with an unconventional family but never feeling unloved not a day, minute or second of my life.
- I am thankful for my second family which includes my sister and my wonderful friends. Through the years you lose some and gain some but those who have stuck it out with me and have served as an amazing support system as well as a source of endless laughs. I am ever grateful.
- I am thankful the essentials: having a wonderful career, a roof over my head, and a full belly.
- I am thankful for my health, although these migraines have been giving me a run for my money, they will not stop me!

On a smaller scale...

- I am thankful for this past year. All the places I have been, people I have seen and experiences I have gone through that have shaped my vision for the future.
- I am thankful the Holiday season is upon us! It is most def my favorite time of the year, well besides summer of course!
- I am ever thankful for the sunshines warmth.
I am thankful for rebuilding.

I know it has been awhile so here is some link lovin'

- 5 Reasons why saying 'Yes' is saying 'Thank You'

- OMG. I cannot stand musicals but cannot wait to see ' Les Miserables'. check out the trailer here.

Anyway. Have you seen the new 'Twilight' movie? I treated myself last night! It was by far my favorite. It was great! I'm sad it is over. But they gave me life with the 'Hunger Games' sequel!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. And try giving back this year!

Music Monday: Skyfall

I went to see Ben Affleck's new movie, 'Argo' with this nice young gentleman. And I quickly found out I was no longer interested in him due to a short conversation we had during the previews. I know this might sound really petty but I was upset.
The previews are my favorite part of going to the movies. So I was kinda ticked he wanted to have a full conversation during them. But I played along. So I told him I was excited for all the new movies coming up in the next few weeks. And he asked what they were. So the first thing that came to mind was the new Bond movie. He asked me who was playing Bond. So this was my first side eye. I responded, Daniel Craig. He then proceeded in asking who that was... So I went into detail about who Daniel Craig was and what other movies he has been in. Then what really just turned me off was he asked if he was British. I was completely done at this point. And if you cannot understand my frustration well then shame on you.

I'm sorry I like movies a lot. And I like my, "movie partner" to have similar interests. That is all.

Anyways, excuse my rant! lol. I saw, 'Skyfall' this weekend and it was AMAZING! Probably my favorite Bond movie with Daniel Craig. And loved, loved, loved the intro with Adele's song. Very fitting. Have you seen it yet? Thoughts?

This is the end
Hold your breath and count to ten
Feel the earth move and then
Hear my heart burst again

For this is the end
I’ve drowned and dreamt this moment
So overdue I owe them
Swept away, I’m stolen

Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together

Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
At skyfall
At skyfall

Skyfall is where we start
A thousand miles and poles apart
Where worlds collide and days are dark
You may have my number, you can take my name
But you’ll never have my heart

Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together

Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
At skyfall

[2x]
(Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall)

Where you go I go
What you see I see
I know I’d never be me
Without the security
Of your loving arms
Keeping me from harm
Put your hand in my hand
And we’ll stand

Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together

Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
At skyfall

Let the sky fall
We will stand tall
At skyfall

Happy Friday!

Okay! So today I get to work and my coworker tells me her nephew is going to propose to his girlfriend. She then asks if she could use my laptop that I brought to work today to make a CD because she was going to meet him and surprise her with a song outside on Monument Circle. I said sure why not... Well while trying to download the song I came across this article/video. Of course it brought me to tears. And now I want my proposal (whenever I get a boyfriend) to be nothing less than this spectacular!

This story by David Stabler of OregonLive.com explains how it all unfolded:
PORTLAND ACTOR FLOORS HIS FIANCEE
You can’t watch it without laughing, cheering, maybe even tearing up.
On Wednesday, Isaac Lamb, a Portland actor, proposed to his girlfriend, Amy Frankel. But he didn’t just ask her. He put her in the open back of a Honda CRV and gave her some headphones. She thought she was going to hear a song.
She got one, all right. The video went viral after he posted it Friday and had tens of thousands of hits by Friday afternoon. By Saturday morning, his video had close to half a million hits.
“It’s crazy,” Lamb, 31, said. “I thought friends and family would like it, and I figured that’s where it would end. I can’t believe it.”
Lamb likes to put on “big flashmobby type things,” he said. “When I decided to ask Amy to marry me, I wanted something she wouldn’t forget.”
This is what happens when you date an actor.
“I was completely floored,” Frankel, 33, said. “We had talked about wanting to get married, but I never would have expected that in a million years.”
Lamb surprised Frankel with a growing street party of singing, dancing, arm-waving friends and family. “I knew there was very little chance to do this without her knowing what was going on,” he said. “My goal was just to get her to the house.” His brother took over, asking her to sit in the car and listen to a song.
As Frankel dutifully sat there, the car began to move. Two of their friends appeared and she thought, “How sweet, they’re going to do a show for me.” The car drove slowly up the street and more people appeared, including Lamb’s parents. When she heard the words of the song, “Marry You,” a candy-sweet tune by Grammy winner Bruno Mars, she knew what was up.
By the end of the show, 60 people were dancing in the street. They parted and there was Lamb, handsomely suited, who got down on bended knee.
Throughout the six-minute video, a camera shows Frankel’s reaction, laughing, hugging herself, all but falling out of the car.
Did he have any doubts she’d say yes?
“Not a one. This whole production was a good insurance policy.”
They met six years ago at an audition for “West Side Story” at Portland Center Stage, soon after Frankel moved to Portland from New York City. She got the part, he didn’t. Lamb studied film production at Loyola Marymount University and for several years, starred in “Defending the Caveman,” a one-man show about the differences between men and women. Frankel is a former Broadway dancer and has choreographed several shows in Portland, including Portland Opera’s recent “Candide.” They’re both company members at Portland’s Third Rail Repertory Theatre.
They plan to marry in a year.
“One of reasons I love him, he’s such a fun-loving guy,” she said. “He has such a big heart. He loves celebrating life and the friendships that we have. Our lives are going to be like this.”
But, she worried, “How am I going to top that?”

Foward.

Tuesday night I went to sleep early due to this ongoing headache I’ve been having. Govenor Romney was ahead at the time. When I woke up Wednesday morning I was pleased to hear that President Barack Obama was re-elected to be the 44th President of the United States. Now I know we are not all going to agree on political views. And I believe diversity is good! I am very thankful that we do live in a country that permits us the liberty to choose things we believe in and are passionate about. My hopes are that everyone exercised their right to vote and educated themselves on both candidates and their policies and based their decision on that. Not if they are Republican or Democrat, male or female, black or white. That is what grinds my gears when people choose based on something totally unrelated to the facts at hand.
I was reading my aunt’s facebook post to find my 31 year old cousin, Logan voted for the first time! Here is a small piece of the article:
ANDERSON, Ind. — Bret Callender said it felt good to vote for the first time.

The 31-year-old Anderson man said he was influenced to vote because so many voters across the country are having their rights challenged.

“That undermines the entire idea of democracy,” said Callender, who cast his ballot Tuesday in Anderson.

He said the presidential race seemed like the most important one because the race is heavily rooted in ideas.

“I have an idea of how the country should be run,” Callender said. “I want to have a say in who does that.”
To read the rest click here.
He also stated on facebook, “maybe it is just gloating, but it seems like I saw Mitt for the 1st time tonight, my pity goes out to him and anyone who really thought he would be good for this nation, and my thanks goes out to anyone who voted. PS I made the newspaper just for voting.”
“America’s never been about what can be done for us. It’s about what can be done by us together through the hard and frustrating, but necessary work of self-government.” - Barack Obama

My hopes are to move ‘Forward’ these next four years. God Bless.
